Financial Accountant

I am delighted to be supporting a business in their search for a permanent Financial Accountant. This is a newly created position to support with company growth and would suit a part or finalist level qualified Accountant.

Client Details

This opportunity is with a well-established organisation based in South Leicestershire. Due to recent growth over the past couple of years, they are now looking to add a Financial Accountant to their team.

Description

The Financial Accountant''s duties will include but is not limited to:

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax returns and audits.
• Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes to achieve financial objectives.
• Identify process improvements to streamline financial reporting and operations.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• A recognised or part qualification in accounting, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
