Financial Accountant

Meraki Accountancy and Finance''s leading client is looking to add a Financial Accountant for an initial 12 month period. This is a key role within the finance team ad the successful candidate will provide financial accounting advise and support. Key duties of the role include: Financial Reporting and AccountingManage month-end and year-end close processesPrepare annual financial statements, governance reports and supporting working papersLead liaison with external auditors and respond to audit queriesPrepare accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustmentsComplete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variancesMaintain and develop the chart of accounts structureProduce management reports and financial analysis to support decision-making Audit, Compliance and ControlsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, VAT regulations and internal controlsSupport committee reporting and statutory reporting deadlinesReview and improve financial procedures and controls across the organisationPrepare VAT returns and provide VAT/tax guidance where required Treasury, Banking and Income ControlOversee income recording, banking and reconciliation processesSupervise cash and banking controls across facilitiesManage bank reconciliations and ad hoc payment processingOversee cash collection arrangements and treasury-related processes Systems and Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processesSupport finance system developments, upgrades and ..... full job details .....
