Financial Accountant Location: Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, DA6 7AT Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 6+ Months Working Hours: Mon Fri, 09 00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £ 20.05 per day Job Ref: OR10458 Responsibilities Respond to queries from external auditors. Contribute to the year-end Statement of Accounts. Perform control account reconciliations, including debtors, creditors, and VAT. Assist in the preparation of the Council''s monthly VAT return. Support the maintenance of the Council''s corporate grants register. Conduct system testing as required. Perform ad hoc tasks to support the achievement of the team''s objectives. Person Specification Must be CCAB or AAT qualified. Ability to interpret financial information. Possess good communication skills. Demonstrate a proactive approach to work.
