Financial Accountant

Your new companyWe are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Financial Accountant to join a small finance team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting across the group, ensuring compliance, and supporting business decision-making.Your new roleKey ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts for the group, including variance analysis and commentaryOwnership of the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reportingPreparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with HMRC requirementsSupport in the preparation of group statutory accounts and consolidation processesManagement of prepayments, accruals, and journal postingsBalance sheet reconciliations and ongoing monitoring of key control accountsLiaising with operational teams across the manufacturing sites to provide financial insightAssistance with audit processes (internal and external)Continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reportingWhat you''ll need to succeedQualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experiencePrevious experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.Strong understanding of management accounting, group reporting, and VATExperience with prepayments, accruals, and month-end processesExcellent Excel and financial systems skillsStrong attention to detail with the ability to work to tight ..... full job details .....
