Financial Accountant

Your new company A well-established international organisation operating within the business services and distribution sector is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. With operations across multiple European markets and a strong reputation within its industry, the business offers a collaborative working environment and the opportunity to gain exposure to both UK and international reporting. Your new role Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for a broad range of financial accounting duties across UK and Irish entities. This is a hands-on role that will suit an accountant who enjoys working across transactional finance, reporting, controls and audit activities. Key responsibilities will include: Maintaining the general ledger, purchase ledger and sales ledger. Managing accruals, prepayments and monthly accounting adjustments. Performing stock reconciliations and posting relevant journal entries. Completing monthly bank reconciliations. Processing and reconciling staff expenses. Recording daily cash receipts and payments. Preparing UK and Ireland VAT returns for external review and submission. Producing monthly financial reports for senior management and group stakeholders. Supporting quarterly consolidations and group reporting requirements. Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting. Assisting with year-end audit preparation and responding to auditor requests.
