Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant required for the UK arm of an international group Your new company The UK arm of an international group seeks to appoint a technically astute Financial Accountant into a broad and varied role. Your new role The role ensures compliance with group accounting policies and local regulations, and serves as the main contact for audits of both local and group financial statements. It plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and regulatory integrity across the organisation. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing payroll accounting, accruals and deferrals, month-end journal postings, and balance sheet reconciliations. It also covers intercompany accounting, tax and VAT reporting in collaboration with specialists, and preparation of local financial statements in line with GAAP and suits a candidate who enjoys variety associated with the role. What you''ll need to succeed You will be a qualified accountant (or soon to qualify) with strong month-end reporting skills and familiar with the production of financial statements. Consideration will be given to candidates either coming from practice or industry who demonstrate a strong eye for detail and a passion for technical accounting.
