Financial Accountant

Reporting To: Financial ControllerThe OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) making their first move from practice into industry.Working closely with an experienced Financial Controller and CFO, you''ll gain broad exposure across financial reporting, commercial finance and business operations. The role offers the chance to move beyond statutory accounts, developing a strong understanding of how finance supports decision-making in a growing business.You''ll be encouraged to take ownership, improve processes and develop your commercial awareness, making this an ideal stepping stone towards a future Finance Manager or Financial Controller position.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting and Month EndSupport the preparation of monthly management accounts.Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure financial records are accurate and maintained in accordance with FRS 102.Management Accounts and Commercial AnalysisProduce financial analysis and variance reporting to support business performance.Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.Develop reporting that provides meaningful insight to operational teams.Support ad hoc financial modelling and analysis.Sales and Purchase Ledger OversightOversee the sales and purchase ledger processes, ensuring accurate invoice processing and reconciliations.Support credit control and supplier ..... full job details .....
