Financial AccountantPermanent Burton on Trent 45,000 - 50,000 - Hybrid working after training, and attractive benefits package We are working with an established business to recruit a technically strong and commercially aware Financial Accountant to join its central finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take responsibility for key financial accounting and reporting activities, support the wider business with financial insight, and contribute to ongoing improvements in financial controls and processes. The successful candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, excellent Excel skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Experience using SAP would be a significant advantage, although training can be provided. Manage financial accounting and control activities across designated cost centres, including fixed and variable costs.Support the preparation of annual budgets, management plans and financial forecasts.Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing financial support and guidance.Complete month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliations for designated areas.Oversee the accounting and control of central costs and interdepartmental recharges.Support monthly group reporting and the preparation of annual statutory accounts.Prepare relevant financial information to support tax and VAT reporting requirements.Liaise with external ..... full job details .....
