Financial Accountant

I am supporting a client, based in Biggleswade, in their searchfor a Financial Accountant. This is a broad financial accountingrole, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting whileensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, IFRSand internal policies. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reporting,alongside rolling and long-term cash flow forecasts. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintain the fixed assetregister and support the audit process. Support corporate tax, VAT, statutory and group reportingrequirements. Monitor treasury activity, including payments, receipts andbank reconciliations, while supporting foreign exchange riskmanagement. Provide management information, identify potential issues andrecommend improvements to financial systems and controls. Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes,ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met. Provide general financial accounting support to colleagues andassist with resolving accounting queries as required. The ideal candidate: Is ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified. Part-qualified or currentlystudying towards a relevant qualification will also beconsidered. Has experience using accounting software. Has intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including lookupsand pivot tables. Is organised and able to work effectively under pressure, withstrong attention to accuracy and compliance.
