Accounts & Tax Assistant – Staffordshire Practice

Staffordshire |  Full-Time, Permanent | up to £50,000

Join a well-established financial and tax accountancy firm in Staffordshire, supporting a diverse client base with high-quality sets of accounts, tax returns, and payroll services.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounts for SMEs and sole traders

• Assist with personal and corporate tax returns

• Process VAT submissions, CIS, and reconciliations

• Support payroll across multiple sites (RTI, PAYE, auto-enrolment)

• Liaise with HMRC and manage client documentation

• Use Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel to streamline workflows

Ideal Candidate:

• ACA or ACCA part-qualified/ AAT Level 4 / ATT / CIPP  or similar 

• Experience in practice or bureau setting

• Strong attention to detail and client communication skills
