Financial Accountant

CMG are excited to be exclusively partnering with a leading media marketing business based in London.

They are currently looking for a newly qualified financial accountant to join their head office team in central London.

The successful candidate will be integral in managing month end and quarter end reporting whilst ensuring of tight controls and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit statutory accounts for group entities.

Lead year-end processes and manage statutory audits with external auditors.

Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Prepare quarterly VAT returns for EMEA entities Identify and implement process improvements and internal control reviews.

Review purchase invoice coding, cost allocations, and approvals.

Support management accounts, particularly in areas such as inventory.

Oversee preparation of management accounts for related entities.

Manage annual tax reporting requirements (e.g.

PSA, P11D).

Calculate and submit corporation tax returns, including RandD claims.

Compile reports for regulatory bodies Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Act as a role model and mentor within the finance team.

Requirements Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Experience with nominal/general ledger accounting systems.

ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified Advanced Excel skills with strong numerical and analytical capabilities.

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

Self-motivated with a proactive, inquisitive approach to learning and problem-solving.
