Financial Accountant (Fixed-Term Contract)Liverpool Competitive Salary Full-TimeA well-established UK consumer-focused business is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant on a fixed-term basis to support the finance function through a key reporting and controls period.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to take ownership of group balance sheet oversight, statutory reporting and financial controls within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.Key responsibilities:Oversight and review of the group balance sheet, ensuring strong controls and robust reportingPreparation and review of consolidated and individual statutory accountsSupporting quarterly and year-end reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAPActing as a key contact for auditors, managing audit queries and deliverablesPreparing technical accounting papers for both internal stakeholders and external auditOwnership of capital asset accounting and review of capitalisation processesLeading on revenue recognition and supporting wider understanding of finance systemsDriving improvements across balance sheet review processes and controlsReviewing month-end reconciliations and ensuring timely resolution of actionsSupporting budgeting, financial risk reporting and wider finance transformation projectsProducing reporting for senior leadership and board stakeholdersAbout you:ACA / ACCABackground in audit, ideally Top 10 trainedStrong technical accounting knowledge across IFRS and ..... full job details .....
