Finance Operations Team Leader

OverviewGreat journeys happen at London Gatwick. Circa £40,000, £1,100 flex allowance, up to 15% bonus + benefits. 12-month fixed term contract. This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.

What is the role?The Finance Operations Team Leader is a hands-on role, supporting both the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams, as well as overseeing the invoicing and cash management. This role will learn and be able to provide cover for both the Retail Accountant role and the Commercial Accounts role to provide resilience within the team.

What will you do?

Day-to-day management of a team of 6, participating in 121''s and ongoing development conversations

Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, conduct Monthly AR and AP review meetings with FinOps Manager

Assisting the FinOps Manager at month end; month end close process and reporting, monthly dashboard, bad debt provision

Assisting in identifying and implementation of process improvements

Conduct Bad Debt write off reviews and weekly Top 50 reporting

Learn and support the Retail Accountants role within the AR team

Learn and support the Commercial Accounts Assistant to cover parking accounting reconciliations

Do you have what we''re looking for?

Essential - sound working knowledge of SAP

Excel intermediate / advanced (macros/Xlookups)

BACS / Bottomline PTX and banking platforms

Complete understanding of P2P process including GRIR and PO management

Experience in Order to Cash process, including billing and collections

Ability to liaise with senior internal stakeholders, and liaise with treasury on forecasts and treasury payments

Experience within credit management / reporting

Proven experience with month end close processes

Experience of managing a team and ability to adapt to conflicting priorities
