Job Purpose: Finance OfficerProvide financial and accountancy support for a portfolio of Schools, teams, departments and/or projectsDevelop, implement, and maintain systems and processes to deliver financial ManagementMain responsibilities: Finance OfficerMonitor income and expenditureProvide financial information for budget review meetingsMaintain a record of budgets and ensure they are updatedMonitor and control finances within the portfolioEnsure all relevant costs are recorded against projects within prescribed timescalesProcess sales invoice requisitions and ensure income is claimedEnsure journals, recharges, and capture costs are completed correctly and promptlyEnsure electronic and manual files for financial documentation are well organisedAssist with the preparation and processing of the month and year-end accrualsContribute to the development of efficient financial administration processesPerson Specification: Finance OfficerQualified to AAT level or able to demonstrate a combination of qualifications, skills, and relevant experience at an equivalent levelHigh level of numerical skillSound knowledge of financial systems and proceduresExperience in finance workExperience in maintaining accurate financial records.
