Finance Officer
Temporary Finance Officer, Woodley area within a school Reed Education is seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Officer to join a specialist education setting on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong administrative and accounting skills to play a key role in supporting the effective management of school finances. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance and Office Manager and wider school staff to ensure the smooth and accurate operation of financial processes, helping to maximise resources while maintaining compliance with financial procedures and regulations. As Finance Officer, you will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support across a busy school environment. You will manage key finance functions including accounts payable, income processing, reconciliations, budget support, and financial reporting. You will liaise regularly with staff, governors, suppliers, auditors, local authorities, and other external stakeholders, ensuring a professional and efficient service at all times. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable and Financial Administration Manage the accounts payable process from purchase order through to payment. Liaise with finance colleagues to set up new suppliers. Support staff with procurement processes and raising orders. Process invoices, prepare payments for authorisation, and assist with payment runs.
