Finance Officer
Your new company My client is a small London-based charity. Your new role My role is Finance Officer on a 12-month contract basis. The role will be based full time in the office during the probationary period, moving to 3 days in the office after that. Duties will include, but are not limited to: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.- Process purchase invoices and ensure accurate coding, authorisation and timely payment to suppliers. Invoices downloaded/requested, authorised and coded for all direct debit payments and for credit card payments.- Prepare fortnightly supplier payment runs and process payments in accordance with organisational procedures.- Process ad hoc manual payment and ensure authorisation and coding are financial records are maintained for audit purposes.- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.- Assist with the management of grant payments, ensuring payments are made in line with approved budgets, cashflow requirements and forecasts.- Manage the finance inbox and respond to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner.- Post other month-end journals - Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.- Perform monthly debtor, creditor and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances where appropriate.- Reconcile supplier statementsWhat you''ll need to succeed In order to succeed, you ..... full job details .....
