Venture Recruitment Partners are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join a growing and dynamic organisation in Winchester on a 12 month maternity cover. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining strong technical accounting expertise with strategic business partnering.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in overseeing the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, delivering insightful reporting, and supporting decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
• Monitor financial performance and provide analysis to support business strategy.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and oversee year-end audits.
• Develop and improve financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
• Partner with department heads to provide financial guidance and support.
• Manage and mentor finance team members where applicable.
• Support senior management with strategic planning and commercial decision-making.

About You

• AAT level 4 would be an advantage although qualified by experience or part qualified ACCA or CIMA is also considered.
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or similar role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems.
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
