What will you be doing?• Lead the consolidation of the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts for the Design, Build, Run business unit, collaborating with functional teams to ensure cohesive financial storytelling.• Own and produce the month-end financial reporting pack for the business unit, holding functions accountable to their commitments and providing financial input to performance scorecards.• Develop a robust process for tracking risks, issues, and opportunities across the business unit, ensuring risk and compliance are managed effectively.• Enhance efficiency tracking and reporting processes across the Design, Build, Run business unit.• Collaborate with finance teams to maintain and document cash flow forecasting.• Contribute to the development of business cases and strategic input across DCC services.• Support the introduction of the Ex-Ante framework and its implementation across the business.• Lead the end-to-end month-end cycle for Business Operations and Lifecycle Management cost centres, ensuring accurate financials and insightful variance analysis.• Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, business analysis, and reporting.What are we looking for?Essential:• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with 3 to 5 years Post Qualified Experience.• Proven experience in a financial planning and analysis role with strong oral and written communication skills.• Highly analytical with a structured approach to problem-solving and a track record of implementing financial process improvements.• Attention to detail, able to review and quality assure documentation and provide constructive feedback.• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with both financial and non-financial teams.• Self-motivated and takes initiative to solve problems, demonstrating curiosity and adaptability.• Effective time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.Desirable:• Experience in the energy, government, telecommunications, or technology sectors.• Familiarity with working in a complex, matrixed environment.• Confidence in managing demanding stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.• Strong ability to design, build, and manage financial models and reports.About the DCC:At the DCC, we believe in making Britain more connected, so we can all lead smarter, greener lives.
