RK Accountancy are partnering with a well established client based in the Wigan area, who are seeking a commercial Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial control across a multi-site business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management andamp; Reporting
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and management information packs
- Monitor KPIs and operational performance across contracts, driving cost control and profitability
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with operational teams
- Support the FD with cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Ensure compliance with financial standards, company policies, and external regulations
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with Operations Managers, Area Managers and Site GMs to provide financial insight and challenge assumptions
- Support pricing models, tenders, and contract reviews for new and existing business
- Provide financial onboarding and analysis for new catering sites
- Improve financial awareness across the organisation through training and support
Controls andamp; Compliance
- Maintain and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting standards
- Oversee key areas such as payroll accuracy, and revenue recognition
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and external advisers as required
- Ensure accurate and contract-compliant accounting for all business units
Team Leadership
- Supervise and develop a finance team of 11 staff
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the finance function
Person Specification
Essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 yearsandrsquo; post-qualification experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in a multi-site, service-based or contract-led business
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to partner with non-finance colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Previous experience in hospitality, FMCG or facilities management sector
- Systems experience in Access (preferred, but not essential)
