Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
• Oversee purchase and sales ledger functions.
• Manage payroll processes and statutory payments.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Produce year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Develop and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
• Support senior management with financial planning and business analysis.
• Manage credit control and monitor company cash flow.
• Lead and support the finance team where required. 

Requirements
• AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent accounting qualification qualified
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or Senior
Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage, Xero,
QuickBooks, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable
• Experience within the food manufacturing, hospitality, retail, or distribution sector.
• Knowledge of stock control and inventory accounting.
• Experience managing a small finance team.

• Monday to Friday preferably 09:00 to 17:00 hours
