Finance Manager

Finance Manager - Permanent- based in Northampton, NN4 Job Purpose: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business and play a key role in its continued development. Working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team as part of a small, collaborative finance team, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of core financial operations for the business, including VAT compliance, payroll, budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting. The role combines hands-on financial management with strategic oversight, making it ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded finance professional who wants to make a genuine impact, improve processes and contribute to wider business decision-making. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the month-end and year-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare and present monthly management accounts, with commentary and KPIs, to the Managing Director and senior leadership team. Prepare consolidated year-end accounts for the company and liaise with external auditors and accountants. Lead the annual budget and regular reforecasts, providing variance analysis against business objectives. Manage cash flow forecasting, planning and monitoring across the businesses, including banking and treasury. Oversee the purchase and sales ledgers, supplier payments and credit control.
