Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance and supporting strategic decision-making within the financial services industry. This temporary role requires expertise in accounting and finance processes, based in London.

Description

• Prepare and submit five quarterly VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain regular cash flow forecasts, including scenario analysis where required to support decision-making.
• Produce monthly treasury and liquidity reports, as well as ad-hoc reporting as needed.
• Deliver monthly project reporting, with additional analysis provided on request.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, ensuring financial records are complete and accurate.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs are of high quality.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.

Profile

• Qualified Accountant or Finalist
• Minimum of 5 years'' relevant experience in a medium to large sized business
• Strong experience of VAT reporting and recording, with a good understanding of UK VAT requirements
• Proven experience in financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and month-end processes
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Confident communicator, able to work effectively with stakeholders across the business
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems
