FINANCE MANAGER High-Growth UK E-commerce Business (Essential Requirement) THE OPPORTUNITY An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function within a rapidly growing, international direct-to-consumer e-commerce business. This is a hands-on financial controllership role with genuine ownership and influence. You will be responsible for the integrity of the numbers from end to end, lead the month-end process, produce meaningful management information and help develop the finance infrastructure required to support continued growth. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and CFO, you will have regular exposure to senior leadership, founders and external advisors. You will also manage and develop a small, growing finance team, with the opportunity to shape the structure of the function as the business scales. YOUR KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Financial Control and Month-End You will take full ownership of the financial close process, ensuring the business has accurate and timely financial information. Lead the month-end close process from start to finish. Deliver an accurate PandL and balance sheet within 5-7 days of month end. Produce monthly management accounts and supporting analysis. Maintain full ownership of the general ledger and balance sheet. Oversee COGS, product costing and inventory valuation. Manage accruals, prepayments and VAT treatment.
