KCR are supporting a well-established public sector organisation in Newton Aycliffe in the recruitment of an experienced Finance Manager to join their senior leadership team.This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and commercially aware finance professional to take ownership of the organisation''s financial operations and lead a small, dedicated team.The RoleReporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function while supporting long-term financial planning and governance.Key responsibilities include:Leading and developing a small finance teamManaging the full finance function including AP, AR, payroll and cash flowPreparing and monitoring annual budgets and longer-term financial plansProducing timely and accurate management accounts and year-end statementsSupporting audit processes and maintaining strong financial controlsEnsuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and frameworksProviding financial insight to support strategic decision-makingThe PersonProven experience in a finance management or senior finance roleStrong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detailExperience overseeing multiple finance processes (e.g. payroll, AP/AR, reporting)Ability to manage, support and develop a small teamConfident communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across the organisationStrong systems and Excel skillsDesirable:Experience within a public sector or local government environmentA ..... full job details .....
