Finance Manager

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnering with a manufacturing business on the appointment of a newly created Finance Manager position, based in Cumbria. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day finance operations of the site, ensuring robust financial controls and delivering timely management information to support business performance. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong financial controls are in place Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control activities Manage cash flow, daily banking and balance sheet reconciliations Process monthly payroll and associated HMRC submissions Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting for senior stakeholders Provide financial analysis and insight to support operational decision-making Identify opportunities for cost control and business improvement Prepare and submit VAT returns Support year-end audit requirements and statutory compliance Manage and develop a small finance and administration team About You Previous experience managing the finance function within an SME environment Strong understanding of management accounts, cash flow and financial controls Strong Excel skills and commercial awareness Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders AAT qualified, higher-level qualification or qualified by experience ..... full job details .....
