Finance Manager

Our client is a large, well-established service-based organisation with a strong reputation in its sector. They are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to support the Finance Director and lead a small transactional finance team from their Castleford head office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified by Experience (QBE) or qualified finance professional who enjoys variety, team management- responsibility and working closely with the wider business.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you''ll play a key role in the day-to-day management of the finance function, managing payroll, ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting and developing the transactional finance team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and mentoring the transactional finance team
• Overseeing payroll processes and resolving payroll-related queries
• Managing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls
• Acting as a key point of contact for finance queries across the business
