The Role This is a key role in a high performing team, requiring you to lead the transformation and improvement of stock and margin accounting. Key responsibilities will include: Support and mentor one direct report Maintain financial control and accurate valuation of global stock Financial control of margin movements, including materials price and usage variances, labour variances, overhead absorption and stock revaluation Responsible for the control and reporting of global gross margin, including profit in stock Support the development of the Group inventory policy Deliver monthly reporting explaining gross margin relative to budget, forecast and prior year Work with other Finance team members to set budgets and forecasts Drive continuous improvement in how stakeholders control the movement of high value stock The PersonThe successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience of working in Retail or Manufacturing.
