Finance Manager

We re proud to be partnering with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation based in Northampton, who are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to join their collaborative team. Working closely with the Finance Director, this is a varied and rewarding role with a strong focus on leadership, process improvement, and financial control. You ll play a key part in developing the finance team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and supporting wider business objectives across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Finance Director, duties will include: Preparing monthly management accounts for review with the FD Leading on cashflow forecasting and budget preparation Reviewing systems and processes across the sales, purchase and general ledger, payroll, cash/banking, and stock control Supporting system and process improvement initiatives across multiple sites Providing analysis and insight to support operational and strategic decisions Managing and mentoring the finance team, fostering growth, confidence, and a supportive working environment Collaborating with Heads of Department to ensure effective financial support and meaningful management reporting Assisting the FD with audit preparation, statutory reporting, and funding applications Contributing to additional finance projects and ad hoc business reporting The Candidate: We re looking for someone who is both hands-on and people focused.
