Description

  • Manage the preparation and delivery of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial performance.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries
  • Completing VAT returns for all companies
  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts
  • Managing the purchase ledger, including invoice processing and supplier reconciliation
  • Overseeing credit control, insurance of credit accounts and chasing outstanding debts
  • Producing cash flow forecasts and monitoring variances
  • Monthly control account reconciliation
  • Performing bank reconciliations, including USD and Euro accounts
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory adjustments
  • Preparing and submitting confirmation statements
  • Supporting with general ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required
  • Government Surveys keeping record of responses
  • Audit file preparation
  • Assist with year-end and other financial statements, journal postings, accruals, and prepayments
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts & bank accounts
  • Nominal ledger balance sheet and bank postings including controlling and overseeing lease direct debits and maintaining lease contract files.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers and professionals as necessary
  • Managing cost projections spreadsheet for various projects.
  • Business partner with operations directors to ensure that costings are accurate.
  • Keeping up to date and well informed on cyber and other business fraud (this is a standard responsibility of all those within the finance department and has been highlighted due to the growing increase of fraud across all sectors)

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Professional qualifications: AAT, CIMA, ACCA (Part Qualified)
  • Proven experience in financial management
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
