Finance Manager

A long-established and growing North East business is seeking a Finance Manager to join its senior finance team in a newly created role reporting directly into the Finance Director. This opportunity has arisen due to continued business growth and increasing operational demands. The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the finance function, helping to improve processes, support operational stakeholders, and provide high-quality financial insight to senior leadership. This is a highly visible, hands-on role within a stable, well-respected organisation operating across large-scale projects in sectors including education, healthcare, and infrastructure.The Role Responsibilities will include:Production and review of monthly management accountsBudgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisCashflow management and financial reportingSupporting the Finance Director with commercial and operational finance mattersImproving processes and controls within a manual finance environmentManaging and supporting transactional finance activitiesPartnering with operational teams across the businessAbout You The business is looking for someone who is:Experienced within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or another project-led environment (not essential)Proactive and commercially mindedComfortable working within a hands-on and evolving finance functionConfident communicating with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersAble to work autonomously and improve ..... full job details .....
