An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Director to join a successful and growing multi-site organisation.

This is a newly created senior leadership position with responsibility for strengthening the finance function, improving financial controls and delivering the commercial insight required to support continued growth.

Working closely with senior operational leaders, you will lead an established finance team and create a consistent, scalable financial framework across the organisation.

The role

• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.
• Provide commercial insight to support pricing, investment and operational decisions.
• Improve management information, KPIs and senior-level reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and delegated authorities.
• Take ownership of statutory reporting, audit and UK tax compliance.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury, banking and financial risk.
• Develop and standardise finance processes across multiple locations.
• Improve the quality and integrity of financial systems and data.
• Support future investment, acquisition and integration activity.
• Lead, coach and develop the existing finance team.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant-ACA, ACCA or CIMA-with substantial post-qualified experience in a senior finance leadership role.

You will need:

• Experience working within a multi-site, multi-entity or group structure.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax, VAT and statutory compliance.
• A track record of improving financial controls, systems and management information.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading and developing a finance team.
• Confidence managing relationships with auditors, accountants and tax advisers.
• The ability to operate strategically while remaining close to the detail.
• A proactive approach and genuine drive for continuous improvement.
