The successful candidate must be capable of operating commercially within a fast-moving operational business, helping drive the next stage of growth.The role requires someone who can:Translate operational performance into financial insightStrengthen forecasting and reporting capabilityImprove commercial decision-makingSupport investor readinessChallenge constructively at senior levelHelp reduce dependency on the MD for strategic financial interpretationKey responsibilities will include:Strategic finance leadershipCashflow forecasting and scenario modellingFinancial strategy and planningInvestor and board reportingFinancial risk managementManaging banking and funding relationshipsOperational and commercial financeLabour productivity insightsImproving operational efficienciesAnalysis of client profitability, margins and WIPLeadershipLeading and developing the finance functionImproving MI and reportingImproving controls and reporting standardsIntroducing scalable systemsThis role suits a commercially minded SME FD or strong Financial Controller ready to step up.
