Finance Director | Salary to £60,000 | North Manchester (Agile) | Flexible Hours Available

A purpose-driven organisation in North Manchester is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join its Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the CEO, this role will lead the organisation’s financial strategy, governance, and compliance, ensuring long-term sustainability while supporting operational delivery and strategic growth. You will oversee the finance function, provide high-quality financial insight to senior leadership and the Board, and play a key role in shaping the organisation’s future direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, planning, and annual budgeting
• Provide financial reporting, forecasts, and analysis to the CEO and Board
• Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and regulatory compliance
• Lead and develop the finance team
• Support strategic decision-making, tenders, and new business opportunities
• Manage audit processes and statutory reporting

About You

• Qualified or Qualified by Experience accountant 
• Hands-on with significant experience leading a finance function
• Experience in presenting financial information to senior leadership or boards
• Strong commercial and strategic financial planning skills
• Experience in a charity or similar regulated environment (housing, public sector, education, health, etc.) is desirable
