My client are a rapidly growing, Lancashire-based manufacturing company with a turnover of -40 million and a reputation for quality, innovation, and customer focus. As they prepare for their next phase of growth-including international expansion-we are seeking a highly experienced Finance Director to join their Senior Management Team and play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you''ll take full ownership of their finance function, bringing both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership. This is a key appointment in the business-your insights and guidance will help steer financial strategy, drive profitability, and ensure we are structurally ready for the exciting journey ahead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the finance team of 6, overseeing all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the MD and Board, contributing to key decisions and business planning.
  • Drive financial planning and analysis to support operational and commercial goals.
  • Ensure robust financial controls, risk management, and compliance across the business.
  • Support international growth strategy, including potential European market entry and investment analysis.

What We''re Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in a Finance Director (or equivalent senior finance) role-ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial insight into business strategy.
  • Experience of managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business.
  • Experience with international expansion or multi-site operations would be advantageous.
