Finance Controller

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to join a dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in financial management, operational oversight, and team leadership, with the ability to deliver accurate reporting and provide strategic financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily finance operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, business modelling, and regulatory reporting.

• Provide financial analysis, advice, and capital appraisals to senior management.

• Implement and monitor corporate internal controls and evaluate/manage risk.

• Manage payroll, benefits, tax, and pension functions.

• Use ERP systems (preferably Epicor) to support operational and financial activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between finance, operations, and commercial functions.

• Lead and develop the finance team, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.

• Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Professional accounting qualification with proven Controller or senior financial management experience.

• Strong leadership skills, including team management and development.

• Expertise in corporate accounting cycles, reporting, and compliance.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Commercial awareness and understanding of business operations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and goal-oriented mindset.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a manufacturing or aviation-related environment.

• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards.

• Experience with export controls and product costing.

• Degree in STEM subject with relevant accounting experience.

• Auditing experience and proficiency in accounting software.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to travel overseas occasionally (typically up to twice a year).

• Flexible with occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
