Finance Business Partner - LondonSeeking a Finance Business Partner position that has become available on a 2-month contract within an Events company based in Central London. We are seeking a dynamic, highly organised, and driven individual to take financial accountability of a number of events, working collaboratively with the project teams to manage project spend and working closely with the Finance team to provide accurate and timely data.Responsibilities:Month end closedownRegular analysis of income, GP%, staffing costsAssist in preparing the annual budgets and reforecasts / rolling forecastBalance Sheet reconciliationsAssist with year-end auditAssist with weekly payment runsAssist the Finance team in any other ad hoc projects and events.Producing ad-hoc budgets and projections for the DirectorsOversee consolidated event PandL tracker for all eventsReconcile card and cash takings to accurately report and recognise revenueOwning the event budget from a Finance perspective and challenging any overspendsEnsuring PO''s have been raised and approved for all committed costsLiaising with Operations and Management to ensure correct and timely client reportingWorking with Project Manager to reconcile project against budget and report on variancesProducing analysis reports to identify trends to help onsite operationsOwnership of the bespoke budgeting system ensuring all standard costs are up to dateLiaise with the developer of the bespoke budgeting system to ensure issues are tracked and fixedKnowledge and Experience:Project accounting experienceAdvanced Excel skills (vlookup, sumifs, pivot tables etc)Strong analytical skills, with expertise in budgeting and variance analysisAble to work with large volumes of data and complex spreadsheetsConfident and able to challenge senior managers on event budgets and expenditureOrganised, methodical with excellent attention to detailExcellent presentation and communication skillsAble to multi-task and cope with pressures of conflicting work prioritiesExperience and managing projects to tight deadlinesExperience in events/festival/hospitality industryPaprika accounting systemTo be considered for the role, candidates must be available to start the role immediately.For application and accessibility support, please contact your local Marks Sattin office.
