Location: Burton-on-Trent
Salary: -55,000 - -60,000 + bonus & benefits

The Opportunity

This is a newly created role within a growing commercial finance team, focused on strengthening business partnering and improving how financial insight drives decisions.

You''ll work with a large, complex cost base, helping to bring greater control, visibility and challenge to spend, while elevating the quality of reporting and analysis.

The Role

A hands-on, commercially focused position where you''ll turn data into insight and influence how money is spent.

Key areas include:

• Acting as a trusted partner to operational stakeholders, providing support and constructive challenge
• Managing and forecasting a significant cost base (-100m+)
• Improving reporting to deliver clearer, more actionable insight
• Extracting and analysing data from internal systems (including Excel-based reporting)
• Supporting both backward-looking performance reviews and forward planning
• Building models and identifying trends to drive better decision-making

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with post-qualified experience
• Strong commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge
• Analytical, curious and comfortable working with large data sets
• Able to influence non-finance stakeholders and build relationships quickly
• Experience in multi-site or operational environments is beneficial

• Hybrid working (c. 50/50 split)
• -55,000 - -60,000 salary
