We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner based in Bedford for one of our clients on a fixed-term contract basis.
Summary of the Finance Business Partner role
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: 12-18 month fixed-term contract
Hours: 37 hour working week
Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner
- Perform month-end and year-end.
- Reconcilliations.
- Balance control accounts.
- Purchase ledger.
- Input and process invoices and expense claims into the system.
- Conduct monthly payment runs.
- Benchmarking and analysis.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Prepare quarterly VAT and gift aid returns.
Requirements for a successful Finance Business Partner
- Accountancy qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Previous Finance experience within the Education sector.
- Experience doing VAT and gift aid returns.
- Systems report writing experience.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
- Excellent working knowledge of VAT legislation reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
