Responsibilities
Partner with operational, commercial, and supply chain teams to provide financial insight, challenge, and support in decision-making.Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for your business unit, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.Deliver timely and insightful management reporting, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance against KPIs.Analyse manufacturing cost drivers, production efficiency, and margin performance, recommending actions to improve profitability.Develop and maintain financial models to support investment appraisals, capital expenditure proposals, and strategic projects.Act as a key liaison between Finance and non-Finance teams, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.Monitor and control working capital, inventory management, and cost structures to optimise cash flow and operational efficiency.Support compliance with reporting requirements, governance standards, and internal controls.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, reporting, and business performance.Skills and Experience
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience in a Finance Business Partner, FPandA, or Commercial Finance role.Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and support at all levels of the business.Strong knowledge of cost accounting, product costing, and margin analysis in a manufacturing context.Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, Oracle) preferred.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced PLC environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.Seniority level
