Finance Assistant Permanent, full time Up to £28k, hybrid, study support Finance Assistant This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants to build a genuinely well-rounded skill set. Rather than being boxed into one ledger, you''ll get hands-on experience across both accounts payable and accounts receivable, giving you a real understanding of how a finance function works. With a salary of up to £28,000, on-site training, study support and hybrid working from a Birmingham city centre office, this role is built to help you grow. We''re looking for someone with around 12 to 18 months of finance experience who already knows their way around invoices, payments and reconciliations. You don''t need to have it all figured out, but you''ll be comfortable with the basics and hungry to learn the rest. If you''re the kind of person who wants to understand the "why" behind the numbers, not just process them, you''ll fit right in. What You Will Be Doing Taking ownership of processing supplier invoices from start to finish, making sure each one is matched, coded correctly and backed up by the right paperwork. Preparing and supporting weekly payment runs so suppliers are paid accurately and on time. Reconciling supplier statements and getting to the bottom of any discrepancies before they turn into bigger problems.
