Job title: Finance Assistant (Sales Ledger)Location: NorwichSalary: £28-£30kHours of work: 37.5 hours per week; part-time equivalent of 4 days would be consideredOverview of the RoleOur client is looking for a proactive and experienced Finance Assistant (Sales Ledger) to join their Finance team. This role offers an equal split between sales ledger and credit control responsibilities, with scope to provide broader support across the Finance team. It is well suited to someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a confident, organised approach to managing customer accounts.Main DutiesPreparing and raising sales invoices in collaboration with Project ManagersSupporting the credit control process through timely follow-up of outstanding debt by telephone and emailHelping to ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances in line with company proceduresReviewing outstanding debt and maintaining accurate aged debt reportingHandling invoice and payment queries professionally and escalating more complex matters where appropriateReconciling customer accounts and assisting with allocation of receipts as requiredBuilding effective working relationships with clients, Project Managers and colleaguesProviding support to the wider Finance team across shared tasks and during busy periodsPerson Specification/ProfileEssential Skills and ExperienceProven experience in credit control and in preparing and processing sales invoicesExperience of working to deadlines ..... full job details .....
