Finance Assistant
My client is looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Finance Assistant, to join their growing team, in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in this field, an AAT qualification at level 2 or 3, or is working towards one, and is looking to build on their existing knowledge and take the next step in their career. You will play an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, whilst still developing your skills and taking on an increased responsibility as the business grows. The success candidate will be keen to progress their career in finance, with the potential to work towards further qualifications in the future.
Benefits:
Salary from -25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Full-time position, with 37.5 hours per week

About the candidate:
The candidate should be an enthusiastic and motivated financial professional, who already has some experience within a finance or accounts environment, and is looking to develop their career. You will ideally hold an AAT level 2 or 3, as well as a drive to continue developing their skills and knowledge. You should be confident in working with financial information, comfortable using Excel, and demonstrate good understanding of basic accounting principles. The successful candidate will have the drive to develop with the business as it grows, take on a greater responsibility and potentially progress towards further qualifications.
About the role:
As a Finance Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the finance department, by ensuring financial information is processed accurately. You will be involved in invoice and expense processing, account reconciliations, financial reporting and month-end activities, all while closely working with colleagues across the business to help with queries and maintain accurate records. As you develop in the role, you will have the chance to take on more responsibilities, contribute to improving the financial processes and play and increasingly important part in supporting the continued growth of the business.
Skills and Attributes:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Previous experience within a finance, accounts or similar administrative environment
AT level 2 or 3 qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures
Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting or finance systems would be advantageous
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while also contributing as part as a team
Proactive approach with the confidence to identify and resolve issues
Willingness to learn and develop technical finance knowledge
Ambition to progress towards further qualifications
Ability to work in fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
