Finance Assistant - Accounts Receivable£30,000-£35,000 per annumMaidenhall, LutonPermanent Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pmOffice-based five days per weekWe are recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a longstanding, family-run business in Luton.Working within a close-knit finance team, you will take ownership of a busy sales ledger ranging from approximately £500,000 to £2 million. This is a varied and responsible position where you will manage customer accounts, process payments and work closely with the Finance Director, CEO, Head of Sales and Customer Service team.The business works with high-profile customers and premium products, so strong attention to detail and tactful communication are essential. This would suit someone who enjoys working methodically, taking ownership and managing several priorities within a calm, professional office environment.Key responsibilitiesManaging and maintaining accurate customer account recordsTaking ownership of the sales ledger and monitoring customer payment termsSetting up new customer accounts and managing credit statusRaising sales invoices, credit notes and customer statementsAllocating customer payments accurately and promptlyProcessing customer payments and bank transfersManaging pro forma payments and communicating outcomes internallyHandling invoice and payment queries professionallyChasing outstanding payments through tactful and sensitive communicationManaging customer discounts, rebates and marketing ..... full job details .....
