Interim Finance Assistant 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract On-Site Immediate Start St Albans £25,000-£26,000 per annum Full-Time Are you a hands-on Finance Assistant with independent school experience, ready to hit the ground running? We''re working with a well-established education organisation in St Albans that is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join its team on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can quickly get to grips with a new environment and make an immediate impact within a busy finance function. What you''ll be doing You''ll provide essential support across the finance team, including: Preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts Supporting month-end and year-end processes Working across fixed assets, prepayments and fees in advance Investigating and resolving reconciliation items Completing bank reconciliations, journals and general ledger tasks Supporting purchase ledger, sales ledger and cashbook activities Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation Using PASS to process and maintain pupil-related financial information Supporting audit preparation and wider finance activities as required What we''re looking for You''ll ideally have: Previous independent school finance experience Strong practical knowledge of PASS Proven experience with balance sheet reconciliations A solid understanding of month-end accounting processes Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills ..... full job details .....
