Finance Assistant

We are seeking proactive and highly organised Part-Time / Full-Time Finance Assistant to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of financial processes. The successful candidate will assist with accounts payable and receivable, data entry, reconciliations, financial reporting, and administrative tasks while contributing to the overall efficiency and integrity of the finance department. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Role and Responsibilities Manage the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices, payment runs and resolving supplier queries. Raise and manage sales invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Manage customer accounts, including credit control and the collection of outstanding debts. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly. Perform and maintain daily bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any differences. Process employee expense claims and timesheets accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records within the accounting system. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journals and account reconciliations. Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
