Finance Assistant Location: Head OfficeSalary: £28,000 - £30,000Contract: Permanent The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team within a growing organisation. This role plays an important part in supporting the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines. While the primary focus will be within Accounts Payable, the successful candidate will also gain exposure to Accounts Receivable and Treasury activities, making this a varied position with opportunities to broaden your finance knowledge. Working closely with the wider finance function, you''ll be involved in invoice processing, expense management, reconciliations, ledger postings, payment support and resolving finance-related queries. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable and Expenses Administer and manage the expense system, including reviewing submissions and processing payments. Ensure supporting receipts are obtained for company card transactions and accurately recorded within the accounting system. Process invoices promptly and allocate costs appropriately, including invoices requiring multiple coding entries. Maintain accurate nominal ledger postings and day-to-day transaction processing. Support payment runs through statement reconciliations and supplier account reviews. Provide cover for payment processing during annual leave periods and peak workloads.
