Finance Assistant-

Location:-Cheltenham (Hybrid Working)-
Hours:-Full Time | Permanent-

Our client is seeking-Finance Assistant to join a busy and supportive finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role provides a mix of purchase ledger, credit control, and general finance administration duties.-

Key Responsibilities of a Finance Assistant:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices and input data into accounting systems.-

  • Support administration of job costing and finance systems.-

  • Raise sales invoices and-maintain-accurate-records.-

  • Assist-with credit control, including chasing outstanding payments.-

  • Review and process staff expenses.-

  • Complete supplier statement reconciliations.-

  • Manage shared finance inbox and respond to queries.-

  • Support general finance administration tasks.-

Key Skills of a Finance Assistant:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.-

  • Good organisational and time-management skills.-

  • Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.-

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.-

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.-

  • Proactive, reliable, and approachable attitude.-

  • Basic understanding of finance processes is beneficial.-

  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g. Sage) is-advantageous.-

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.-

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.-
