Finance Assistant (Finance Operations)

We are currently working in partnership with a leading Education provider based in Birmingham, who are recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a six month fixed term contract. The salary for this position is £28,287 and travel will be required to the office three days per week. The ideal candidate will be confident in a customer facing position, have an understanding of transactional finance processes and be experienced with large sets of data Duties will include (but are not limited to): Supporting the accurate and timely delivery of Finance month-end activities in line with the published timetable, including supporting the preparation of nominal account reconciliations for review Accurately and efficiently recording operational transactions in both the sub ledger and the general ledger in line with agreed transactional KPI''s Supporting the delivery of a quality and timely customer service with a continuous improvement ethos Producing regular and ad hoc reports to Finance Managers Responding to and resolving queries and issues presented by finance colleagues, non-finance staff and other key stakeholders Experience required: Background in a transactional finance setting and an understanding of financial reporting processes Rewards and benefits: Hybrid working Generous annual leave entitlement Enhanced pension contribution Retail discounts Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this ..... full job details .....
