Finance Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare and process month-end payment runs and bank reconciliations
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and general ledger adjustments
- Maintain vendor accounts and assist with UK & ROI VAT submissions
- Handle staff expenses, cash flow monitoring, and bank lodgements
- Manage company fleet administration including tax and insurance
- Assist with financial reporting, statement preparation, and other ad hoc projects
- Support the finance team with daily operations and general financial admin
About You
- Accounting Technician qualified, part-qualified, or currently studying a finance qualification
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP, Sage, and Timeware an advantage (training provided)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Confident communicator, able to work across teams and with external stakeholders
- Team player with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
