Finance Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Prepare and process month-end payment runs and bank reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and general ledger adjustments
  • Maintain vendor accounts and assist with UK & ROI VAT submissions
  • Handle staff expenses, cash flow monitoring, and bank lodgements
  • Manage company fleet administration including tax and insurance
  • Assist with financial reporting, statement preparation, and other ad hoc projects
  • Support the finance team with daily operations and general financial admin

About You

  • Accounting Technician qualified, part-qualified, or currently studying a finance qualification
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP, Sage, and Timeware an advantage (training provided)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicator, able to work across teams and with external stakeholders
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
