Role: Finance Assistant (Temporary)
Location: Hove
Hours: Part-time, approx. 16 hours per week - 9:00am to 1:00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (with flexibility)
Pay: -12.21 - -13.50 per hour
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join one of our clients on a temporary basis in Hove. This is a part-time position running from September 2025 - January 2026, with the potential to extend.

The Requirements:
- Availability from September 2025
- Recent experience using spreadsheets for record-keeping
- Proficiency and confidence in IT use
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage tasks independently
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Understanding of bookkeeping principles (desirable)
- Experience using Xero accounting software (desirable)
The Role:
- Manage financial transactions on behalf of clients using online banking
- Correctly allocate income to client sub-accounts
- Communicate with colleagues to ensure accounts remain within authorised limits
- Make weekly cash allowances and grant payments as required
- Maintain accurate records using accounting software
- Reconcile accounts, cash, and credit card transactions
- Work with internal teams to ensure up-to-date client financial records
- Support volunteers with financial tasks where required
